Monochrome

I could shoot in B&W for the rest of my days.

Picking up film photography as a medium in 2016, I enjoyed not knowing how a photo would turn out. I’ve gone back switching between shooting digital and 35mm.

In 2018, I began studying film photography at Windward Community College under Kelly Ciurej where I learned a few takeaways:

  1. Shoot. Regardless of if you think the photo will turn out bad, regardless of if you are in the mood to take photos: shoot.

  2. Developing film by hand is therapeutic and I could spend days in the photo lab.

  3. Ilford HP5 Plus 400 ISO has my heart.
